Happy Fall/Winter and welcome to the Holiday Season!
As we move closer to winter and the holidays, we are looking back at one of New York’s best celebrations, almost like a holiday – the NYC Marathon. The best of the city comes out on this day. From 127 runners and 100 spectators in 1970, the New York City Marathon attracted 50,000 runners (myself included) and nearly two million spectators this year! The sheer number of people that came out to run and cheer throughout the five boroughs was incredible and the energy was unmatched. The weather was exceptionally warm and humid this year, but yet, everyone that participated in the event showcased immense kindness, encouragement, and generosity in a city not known for being overly soft.
